Requirements
A minimum (or equivalent to) of NFQ Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education.
Good organisational and teamwork skills
Sound written and verbal communication skills
A good understanding of Siolta and Aistear
A kind, fun and nurturing disposition
A love of working with pre-school children
Motivated to participate in CPD
Living in Ireland and available for interview
Experience working with Children with additional needs and the ability to collaborate with outside agencies, Example; Early Intervention.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team and be committed to challenging and resolving any difficulties
Support staff, including any students working in the room
Share openly and willingly without prejudice
Communicate constructively and listen actively
Participate in the development and delivery of curriculum founded on the centre's philosophies whilst following childcare regulations and Si?olta and Aistear Quality Frameworks
Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning
Develop strategies to guide positive children's behaviour
Build good, open communication with children, families, and staff
Observe and record children's growth, development, and behaviour
Observe and record children to create meaningful learning experiences based on children's interests, strengths and needs
Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe
Undertake administrative tasks as required
Ensure confidentiality
Collaborate with team to create a monthly newsletter regarding the activities in the room to share with parents
Model meaningful interactions with children, colleagues, and parents
Skills:
Communication skills. Childcare workers must be able to talk with parents and colleagues about the progress of the children in their care. ..
