Parent & Toddler Initiative Grants 2021

We are pleased to inform you that the Galway Childcare Committee Grant Allocation for Parent & Toddler Groups for 2021 has been confirmed.


The Initiative recognises that Parent and Toddler Groups are providing informal support to parents, grandparents and childminders, as well as to young children. These groups are an important source of social contact especially for new parents and families new to an area and particularly during the past challenging year.

 Existing groups can apply for a maximum grant of €800.  New start up groups may apply for a maximum grant of up €1250.
 All pages of the Application Form must be fully completed including Income & Expenditure details, Progress Report and the Data Protection Declaration. 

You must also include the following with your completed application:
  • Receipts for purchases funded by the grant from 2020, in accordance with your 2020 application
  • If you did not receive a Parent & Toddler Group grant in 2020, but received a grant in a previous year, please ensure that receipts have been submitted
  • A recent Bank Statement in the group’s name confirming that the bank balance for your group is less than €3,000
  • Copy of current Insurance Certificate for your group

The closing date for submitting completed applications has been extended to the 10th September 2021.

Please note that the contact name and mobile phone number, meeting place, days and times contained in your completed application form will be shared by Galway Childcare Committee with parents looking to join a P&T group in your area and will be shared on our website and other relevant websites for parents.
